This small prism holds an inner light, provided by a mote of wind within it. The light from the prism acts the same way as a spell, and suffers all of the same penalties.
Perhaps more importantly, Farore’s Wind acts as a spell when used, with all faults and bonuses. This has 10 charges, which can be recharged by expending up a 3rd level spell slot or higher for the purpose of recharging. More interestingly is the Teleportation power’s second ability. Upon speaking a command word, the prism memorizes your current location. Upon speaking another command word, you may return to the exact spot, from any distance. This travel occurs instantaneously and is bound to similar party restrictions as Teleport. You may use this ability and unlimited amount of times per day, as it brings you to the one spot.
In addition, if you have possession of Farore’s Wind for more than 24 hours, you are granted Resist 20/Acid and Sonic, and the ability to speak and understand Ancient Hylian.
