Magic Arrows

These magical ammunition are subject to some different rules than normal weapons. When a magic arrow misses its target, there is a 50% chance it breaks or is otherwise rendered useless. A magic arrow that successfully hits a target is automatically destroyed after it delivers its damage.

ICE ARROWS

Aura strong evocation; CL 10th; Price 8,000R

DESCRIPTION

These fifty arrows are touched with elemental frost, similar to Freezards, and can freeze foes upon impact.

The Ice Arrows count as Freezing Burst Arrows or Bolts. They deal 1d6 cold damage to any enemy they strike and, upon a confirmed critical hit, burst into an extra 1d10 points of cold damage. If the weapon’s critical multiplier is x3, add an extra 2d10 points of cold damage instead.

FIRE ARROWS

Aura strong evocation; CL 16th; Price 8,000

DESCRIPTION

These fifty arrows are touched with elemental flame, and set flame to enemies.

The Light Arrows count as Flaming Burst Arrows or Bolts. They always gives off light as a torch (20-foot radius), and this light cannot be quelled, though the flames are magical and do not burn until fired. The fire does not harm the wielder.

Upon impact, Fire Arrows deal 1d6 fire damage. In addition, Fire Arrows deal an extra 1d10 points of fire damage on a successful critical hit. If the weapon’s critical multiplier is x3, add an extra 2d10 points of fire damage instead.

LIGHT ARROWS

Aura strong transmutation; CL 16th; Price 32,000

DESCRIPTION

These fifty arrows are touched with the blessings of the royal family and goddesses, and are evil’s anathema.

The Light Arrows count as Brilliant Arrows. They are never able to be converted to bolt form. They always gives off light as a torch (20-foot radius), and this light cannot be quelled. Light Arrows also ignore nonliving matter.

Perhaps more importantly, armor and shield bonuses to AC (including any enhancement bonuses to that armor) do not count, as the arrows pass through armor. (Dexterity, deflection, dodge, natural armor, and other such bonuses still apply.) Light Arrows cannot, however, harm undead, constructs, or objects.
